Microsoft Pivot | a new Internet browser from Live labs

Take a look to the Microsoft Live labs’ another great experiment “Pivot”. Its nothing but an Internet browser which works on the basis of IE but with the new attractive looks and cool features. Pivot makes it easier to interact with massive amounts of data in ways that are powerful, informative, and fun.

Pivot is currently available by invitation only to a small technical audience to help us explore future scenarios. To learn more about Pivot and our vision for this project, check out this video, share it, embed it, and blog/tweet/post your thoughts about it.

Translate your Microsoft Office documents through Microsoft Translator

Now you can translate your Microsoft Office documents with Microsoft Translator . You can even translate words, phrases, or even your entire document, through the Research task pane.

The Microsoft Translator Official Team Blog has blogged about setting up manually for Office 2007 and Office 2003 previously.

Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft Office 2007 currently use WorldLingo as the default machine translator in the Research task pane. This download will update the Research task pane registry keys to set Microsoft Translator as the default translator and WorldLingo as the fallback translator.

This works for both Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007. Download the Installer through following link.

Microsofts’ another iPhone application “Microsoft Tag”

Microsoft Research has just released an another application for iPhone known as Microsoft Tag after the release of Seadragon.

With Microsoft Tag application, the users can simply pointing the phone camera to a custom tag for instantly access mobile content, video, music, contact information, maps, social networks, promotions and etc. Microsoft Tag is a unique two dimension codes which uses triangle shapes and colors to store data. Actually, Microsoft Tags doesn’t store more data except a unique ID which can fetch more data stored on Microsoft server.

Microsoft Tag does not only available for iPhone but it also available for Windows Mobile, J2Me, Blackberry and Symbian S60 phones.

Microsoft Tag uses the data plan on your device. So normal operator fees will apply. It can be downloaded through following links.
